Plasticity of synaptic transmission
The Institute of Experimental Medicine ASCR in Prague
Research Area
The group’s research is aimed at mechanisms of inhibitory ransmission.
Subprojects include:
- The role of presynaptic and postsynaptic glycine and GABA receptors at central synapses.
- Modulation of GABA-B receptors by auxiliary subunits.
- The roles of glycine uptake in the medial nucleus of the trapezoid body.
- Regulation of firing properties of auditory neurons by Ih and Ca-activated K+ channels.
