Research Area
Our main scientific interests are:
1) the synaptic and molecular organization, functional architecture and physiology of neuronal circuits in the cerebral cortex and related structures, with particular attention to the roles of GABAergic inhibitory interneurons,
2) the network basis of behaviour-dependent population discharge patterns in the hippocampus,
3) the changes in neuronal connectivity/chemical architecture underlying epileptic and ischemic brain damage,
4) the mechanisms of endocannabinoid signaling and its relationship with anxiety and epilepsy.
